Easy Bake or Not?

So tonight the girls finally had the chance to try out a couple of their Christmas gifts. Alexa wanted to make sugar cookies on the Easy Bake Oven and Molly wanted to make snow cones...easy right?
Well the cookies tasted pretty good, however Alexa seemed uneasy about trying her own cooking and it did take a little prodding. They looked weird, but whatever they were cooked with a light bulb!
Molly however didn't care for her snow cone, but loved Alexa's cookies, and Alexa loved the snow cones and ate everyone's for them...go figure!
It was a fun time with them though!

Christmas 2008

Wow what a busy Christmas time this year! We started it off by having our Christmas as a family on Christmas Eve morning and the kids all loved their gifts! Then they got to pick a few and then we were off to Kentucky. It took a little while, but we got there that evening to the kid's Uncle Steve and Aunt Toria's house (Santiago's sister). We had a great time and once Grandma and Grandpa made it in on Christmas, the frenzy of presents was started! Santiago's entire family was able to make it and we all spent Christmas together. We had a great time, however both girls got croupe and Caleb had his share of problems while we were there...I guess that is life with three little ones! After a almost a week, we returned home and mommy has been trying to figure out where to put all these gifts! Favorite gifts were a digital camera for Alexa, Molly loved her Snow Cone maker and Caleb loved all the various balls and his riding toy.
What a wonderful Christmas we have had and we look forward to the New Year~

Cold Weather

The weather was so cold today, the girls got to wear their hats and gloves! Of course they thought that was fun. So I took the opportunity to take some pictures and today they were pretty cooperative. We went outside and played for a little while, however we didn't last too long, it was just too cold.

Family Bowling

On Saturday the 20th, Santiago was able to take a day off and we decided to take everyone bowling. Santiago grew up bowling and really likes it and we knew it was going to be pretty empty considering that everyone else would be Christmas shopping. So we took the kids to Brunswick Bowling. They had a great time and all Alexa kept talking about is how cute her bowling shoes were! Oh my! Caleb of course had to be held b/c he kept running away, but we traded him off and he enjoyed watching everyone bowl. With Daddy's help Alexa and Molly bowled really well. As embarrassing as it was, Molly actually beat me with the final scores being...Daddy 133, Molly 94, Mommy 89 and the one w/ the cute bowling shoes...82! It was really a fun family event!

Dance Recital

Alexa and Molly have been taking dance class since just November. They are in the same class which is so fun for them. They do tap and ballet. Alexa is more of the ballerina and Molly just loves the tap part. Their teacher had a little fall recital for her classes this week and the girls did so well.

Christmas pictures

Well we went to Portrait Innovations this year for pictures like we have in the past. Basically it was a little like a circus in there and the kids decided to cooperate for about 5 minutes and that is when we got the first and only good picture of them together! Caleb refused to smile and I really hated not to get a picture w/ his cute smile and dimples...hopefully another time! Alexa was the well behaved one, but got tired of holding her smile while we tried to get the others to even look at the same time! Molly of course hates having her picture made and made that evident. Still all in all it went pretty good for three of them!

Getting Started

I am so excited about finally getting this blog started! I can't wait to share our moments with everyone, especially our family that is so far away.
